Day 1: Welcome to Iceland! Touring Reykjanes

Fly from Boston to Keflavik, Iceland on Icelandair. Upon arrival collect your bags. You may wish to hit the duty free shop for libations, as alcohol in Iceland is very expensive. ALCOHOL YOU PURCHASE MUST BE CONSUMED IN YOUR ROOMS NOT IN COMMON AREAS OF THE HOTEL. Waiting outside will be our wonderful guide Anna.

Go easy on her although she is well versed regarding your antics. She is an accomplished athlete as well as an extraordinary guide. She is also a member of ICESAR (Iceland Search and Rescue). You’ll be whisked away to a charming seaside town for breakfast followed by a visit to the ethereal Blue Lagoon. We will then be taken on a tour around the otherworldly Reykjanes Peninsula. Late in the afternoon you will check into your hotel…I mean…seriously…just about the coolest most fabulous hotel you will ever visit!  A group dinner will top off the day and perhaps a brisk walk for those who are not too jet-lagged.

Day 2, 3, 4: Work and Play

The next three days will be spent in the arms of those who will get your head and body conditioned. There will be delicious meals, hiking with Anna, swimming..YES OUTDOORS IN WONDERFULLY TOASTY HEATED POOLS. There will be music, spa treatments, conversation, meditation, road trips to the Golden Circle, the stunning basalt formations and black sand beaches at Reynisfjara, glorious waterfalls, lots of laughing…GOD I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS TRIP!!!!!

Day 5: Explore Reykjavik and Head for Home

Pack your bags. After breakfast we’ll set off for a few hours of power shopping and museum hopping in Iceland’s quaint capital. We can give you tips on where to find the best sweaters and souvenirs, or perhaps you would simply like to immerse yourself in Iceland’s history at The National Museum. Don’t miss out on the hottest hotdog on the planet at Bæjarins Beztu. At 2:00 P.M. board the van for Keflavik Airport and your flight back to Boston. Arrive in Boston at 6:35PM carrying your new attitude, hot dogs, raw legs of lamb, cheeses, skyr and other Icelandic delicacies that are all legal because you just visited the tidiest place on earth!
